13:4. ദൈവപുരുഷൻ ബേഥേലിലെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞ വചനം യൊരോബെയാംരാജാവു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കൽനിന്നു കൈ നീട്ടി: അവനെ പിടിപ്പിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ നേരെ നിട്ടിയ കൈ വരണ്ടുപോയിട്ടു തിരികെ മടക്കുവാൻ കഴിവില്ലാതെ ആയി.

13:4. When the king heard what the prophet cried out against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam, standing at the altar, extended his hand and ordered, "Seize him!" The hand he had extended shriveled up and he could not pull it back.
